Be Strong and Let God Lead

“Be of good courage, and let us be strong for our people and for the cities of our God. And may the Lord do what seems good to Him.” — 2 Samuel 10:12

There are moments in life when we do not know exactly how things will turn out. We may face problems, pressure, fear, or situations that feel bigger than we are. In 2 Samuel 10:12, Joab encourages his brother Abishai before a battle. His words are simple but powerful: be strong, stand together, do what is right, and trust God with the outcome.

This verse reminds us that faith does not mean we do nothing. Joab did not say, “Let’s just sit back and wait.” He said, “Let us be strong.” Sometimes God calls us to take courage, make wise choices, help others, and face the challenge in front of us.

But Joab also understood something important: the final result belongs to the Lord. After doing all they could, they had to leave the outcome in God’s hands.

That is a beautiful lesson for us today. We can pray, work, love, serve, forgive, and keep going, but we do not have to carry the weight of controlling everything. God sees what we cannot see. He knows what is best. He is faithful even when life feels uncertain.

Today, be strong in the Lord. Do your part with courage and love. Then trust God to do what seems good to Him. Do what God has placed in your hands, and trust Him with what is beyond your control.
